When I received the package, the first thing that made me happy was the size of this camera. I do not travel a lot of business and a little girl of two years, so I always take a camera with me to talk to him at night and allow him to see me . The size of this device is as good as it gets for traveling, and it also includes a large padded pocket for transport .
The other aspect of this product that I liked is its image quality , especially with regard to how it adjusts the image based on the light and also how when you are on a Skype call and you you move , the person on the other side one can clearly see the movement instead of seeing a blur on their screen. I compared its quality side by side with my previous camera , which costs about half of what it is for , and the difference in quality was huge ; making it a great buy.
In terms of the software installation , the instructions were simple and clear and the process does not take too long. The only thing that could be improved is that when you get to the point where you are prompted to connect the device while the computer checks the configuration, the installation screen keeps prompting the camera to be plugged in. people used to installing hardware plug- and-play will quickly realize what is happening , but some users may be confused by this and start to disconnect and reconnect the device.
In terms of using the camera with Skype integration is transparent. The only setting I had to manually adjust the microphone was , but it's simple , I just need to go to Options devices / Sound and select the appropriate in. One last thing to consider is that the camera works with Skype you having to close the Logitech Quickcam software , since the image can not be used by both programs simultaneously .
Overall, I am very satisfied with this product , and besides the minor problems mentioned above , the only thing I did not like was the stand. This unit works very well if you cling to the screen of your laptop, but the support provided for use with desktops is wobbly and does not contribute to the image quality at all.
